Does FutureShop include the used earbuds from mp3 players/etc in their Open Box products? Is this not illegal to re-sell USED earbuds? Even if the customer says they didn’t use them, it’s pretty sketchy…What’s the deal?

well they would probably want to include all the accessories and plus they dont recieve it apart so yeah and giving new buds would cost them so its either take them or get the price reduced for not having the buds
They do that all the time with stuff like ipods… and they used to even sell OB headphones that got returned because they would not get credit from the manufacturer for returning them. That part at least has changed now though as it was brought up to a head office person that actually cared about the company and customers rather than just profit and he got them to fix it in the system so that when a customer would return them they would automatically go back as an OB RTV (open box return to vendor). That means that the store gets credit for the item… If I was buying something an OB ipod or anything of that nature I would just ask for a discount for the headphones and leave them there…

Guys, im working at futureshop and i can tell you that at the 3 stores i worked in the last 2 years, no store will re-sell product like hearphone. But it’s sure that it’s probably not the same thing at each store. If you go to another store, this will not be the same.
Come to Boucherville, St-Bruno or Taschereau and you will see.

The Future Shop In Abbotsford BC IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I am not a racist but am finding it very hard to believe that east indians are not all fucken shit heads. You can litterally stay hours on end in that futureshop walking in circles and no one will help you with anything. You can make eye contact with them several times and they still will not help you at all even if there doing nothing. There was this one time when I went AND ASKED and she said she would help me in a bit. So I said okay and watched her go make a personal phone call. I was in FUCKEN disbelief. I think all future shop employees in the abbotsford location should be crucified. Most of the employees are east indian and are SO RUDE TO YOU and look at you like your an idiot when you ask them a question. And when you do ask a question they manage to give you some fucked up awnser that doesn’t make sense and they walk away right away leaving you no time to respond. FUCK YOU FUTURESHOP!
