PS to the guys that want to just post shit about people here and tell me that I suck and working at futureshop rocks hey if you like it there thats fine cause if you don’t like it here then go away. I do control this site a bit more then I did before .

I came across this site accidentally. I’m not surprised it exists. A while back I had a very annoying Futureshop experience I would like to share.

I knew exactly what computer I wanted so I went into Futureshop at Northland/Calgary and was greeted happily from a salesperson named Jitu. I showed him the flyer which had the computer package I wanted and he immediately tried to push another more expensive model without even showing me the model I wanted. I explained the computer was for my mother who did not need more ram, a larger monitor or 64 bit ready. Even then he was persisting I buy this more expensive model so I got mad and asked him to show me the model I was after. Now he hands me to another salesperson and walks off and I nearly walked out of the store. I guess the particular model I was buying had little or no commission for him.

The next salesman (I think his name was John) was very informative and immediately showed me the model I was after and started to get it all together. He then explained about the product service plan and extra services like virus installations etc which all seemed like a good thing to me. Just as John had finished explaining, this Jitu character comes over and rudely asks if I am taking PSP and then looks at Jon.

I said no.

When Jitu left again I asked John do you make commission on PSP etc and he said yes so I said Ill take the PSP and all the other services as long as you get the commission and not Jitu. John said to me that even if he did put the entire sale under his name (John) that management would make him change it back to Jitu because Jitu was the first salesperson that spoke to me.

Well f*** all that. I walked out. I was not going to give Jitu a cent being the ***hole he was.

Then a Month later I walked in to get a video card and Jitu was the only person around (I’m not sure if he remembered me). We were at the computer till when he did his big PSP rant which I said no too (all because of his previous attitude) so he then says his till is broken and takes me over to another till near the doors where there were at least 12 people waiting in line. Jitu then leaves me and walks off. Finally after 20 mins I bought the product and went back to the till in the computer sales section just to see if it really was broken. A young girl was on it serving a customer and I explained that I was told by Jitu this was broken. She asked me how I was paying and I said Visa and she said this till is working fine. Luckily Jitu was not around as I would have punched him right in the face.

So stuff Futureshop. If you don’t by PSP or a particular product that makes high commission they don’t want to know you. I know my problem is isolated to one salesperson but its enough to make me shop elsewhere.

It’s true, commison can turn people into greedy little fucks that lick their lips at the chance of a sale. BUT, does that really make the entire company suck? Well, apparently.

Well, you can always ask the sales person for their alpha code. Generally they should put it on their business card, so that if people go to a different store to buy the product, the commission will go to them.

Hey, I joined this site just to share my grief. I placed an order with Futureshop this morning, and a surprising $100 discount showed up in my account. Well, good on me, I thought.

The order was processed, everything seemed okay…. then later on in the day, I checked the order again. They had cancelled it.

I got on the phone with them, and apparently there was a pricing error. But it was their error. And my order was processed. I find it very disappointing that they would not honour the order, and apparently I was not the only one who got the discount and subsequently cancelled. There goes my Christmas present to me. Terrible. Thanks for listening.

Guys, yes im working at futureshop, and yes i understand some thing you say. But you are talking about poeple who work at futureshop. People at futureshop just want to help you. Do you think that it’s funny to deal with frustrated customer? No it’s not.

I agree, maybe sometime things can happen. Personally, im doing everything i can to avoid this kind of sutuations but it’s not always the reality. The biggest part of our staff are really cool. Yes you can see sometime some “bad staff” around store, but with 10 000 employees, i think that this can happen. I see customer yells at customer service rep at least once a week, and those girls sometime start to cry… It’s not their fault. Ask to see the manager and deal with him, not with cust service rep. She can’t do anything else that procedure.

Keep your site up guys, even if im working at futureshop, i think that some situations have to be here.

You know what admin.. Futureshop is going down especially there managment in Windsor, Ontario. Look at this situation, I have been employed as Part Time since September 2, 2007. Legally, you have 90 days till your probation period is up, which has been successful since December 2, 2007, and I was notified by my head supervisor in my department that they are willing to keep me and congratulated me.
As days approach initiating my hard work, it happened a situation where on January 5th, 2007, I have been called by two managers; the general manager and the operation manager for a meeting.

The General Manager have thanked me for working during the holiday and honoring me kindly. He then said he had to terminate me due to budget stating that I am Seasonal in which is false. I have told him that I was hired as part time and my probation period has been up. Thus he kept talking about budgets. So he gave me a paper stating my termination cause.. it said NO CAUSE for termination.

They are so stupid they made the biggest mistake of their life because according to the Law that was an illegal attempt and I can’t wait till I show the paper to my lawyer and ministry board.

Futureshop is just stupid, if your honest you don’t belong there. They suck cocks!
