The fact is that every single person, in every single walk of life is going to have problems that are beyond they’re control, and the harsh reality is that you’ve gotta face them and work past them. Whining and bitching about life’s problems aren’t going to get you anywhere. It’s not going to fix your problem, or help you out in any way. Everyone is going to get “hosed” at some point or another, so deal with it.

True, but I think the benefits of this site outweighs the costs. At the very least it will inform customers on the various complaints against this company.

You’ve got a very immature and unemphatic attitude buddy. Don’t forget that most mistakes happen because of intercommunication with an employee so sometimes escalating does give you the result you’ve been looking for.

Admin: Just one little thing. How do you know this was an employee?

He just mentions his co-workers but then never finshed his post and then I am also going by his posting title .
As you will notice I never said a bad futureshop sales rep just that he would make a bad sales rep no matter what company he worked for.

Here’s a MUCH more simplified approach:

1) Dont get the extended warranty on electronics with no moving parts

2) Insist that the price is incorrect and have them look it up on “RSS”
When they look up the product, check the lower right hand corner of the screen for something like “185699″ or some other small font number… this indicates futureshop’s purchasing cost for the product. 185699 is actually $1856.99 (an example). They can cut you a deal about 15% higher than this number (best possible deal), short of a sale that brings it below the cost of the product.

3) They’re a good company on the whole… but some stores get too “numbers driven” where employees and managers turn into swarms of giant douchebags.

4) If you’re in a “numbers driven” store where the staff are drooling over every sale, use it to your advantage…. their biggest push is for extended warranty. Some stores will actually choose to LOSE money to get their warranty numbers higher. Essentially, you agree to buy the maximum warranty…. and get your product value knocked down to near store cost. It’s hilarious.

5) Look for open box stuff… they get into shit if it sits in the store for too long. Find a manager, and get a near mint TV or monitor for FAR below store cost.

6) Yeah…. FS is just like some Bazaar… find a manager and haggle…. HAGGLE LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW!!!!!

wow, just because someone had something to say, doesnt make them a bad sales rep, bashing people makes you a bad person. Maybe you should do research to make sure that what the employee is saying is true, some people are new, everyone makes mistakes, and the fact that there is this website really shows how immature everyone else is, deal with your problem, no one else gives a shit, and if you do, get a life
