My latest is where my 60″ LCD projection just quit. 3 years old. Going back I fought not to take the 5 year extended warranty but they and the manager fought with me to take the warranty on this high cost TV. They noted it has this high cost bulb in it and it alone if they have to replace it would make the warranty worth purchasing. Now guess what the first thing they are mentioning is the $200.00 bulb would not be warranted. This is not a light bulb but rather a purpose designed and installed totally intregal part of the tv.
Bottom line is if I do not get the $200 bulb after paying $519 for warranty I will absolutely never give one more dollar to FS extended plans, I know the bad taste this is creating will put them to the back of the line for any future purchases and they will only happen if their prices are rock bottom. Visions Electronics have a much better plan and they give you store credit in full if you do not use the warranty. I will if FS do me ok with this warranty sent in a post accordingly. Every time trying to get a FS warranty is an issue.

I’ll try and keep this as short as possible. My first purchase, an Acer laptop (160gig HD, 1 gig ram, Windows XP). It was when Vista was being released, I wanted XP before they all turned Vista (resource hog). So I bought this laptop right away started having problems, there was somebody else info on the computer when I booted up. (I could have taken them to town on this fact for selling other peoples information). In a few months I sent this computer back twice (Hardware problems) The third time they declared it a lemon. What do they do for my fustrations…they give me an HP with vista, 1 gig of ram, and 80 gig HD (worst then what I had to begin with, they say thats the best they can do). You can’t even find a computer with 1 gig ram and vista now days, it just don’t work its not enough, and a smaller HD. ( I wanted a manager, got nobody even slightly helpful). Now Im stuck with a shit computer and they got all my money. They told me the PSP lies too when I was buying, I from an area that doesn’t have a futureshop so when I told them that they said no worry you can be anywhere in the world with the laptop and if you have problems just bring it to your local repair spot and send us the bill. Im pretty gulable to believe that one but it reassured me so I bought it. They lie right to you until they get your money then its “Im sorry thats not our policy, I don’t know why the salesperson would tell you otherwise” (yeah). If they tell you anything make sure you get it on paper or read the policies yourself, DON’T TRUST THE EMPLOYEES. I’ve heard since then so many other bad things about the place since then I will never shop there again. Like for example a buddy of mine bought a 360 there and bought the three year warranty for 200-300 bucks ( this was before microsoft extended their warranty). Once the microsoft warranty was extended he went back to futureshop to see if he could get some sort of refund or anything. Nope sorry your shit out of luck, so he takes heavily advantage of controller replacements, anytime his show a bit of wear he brings it in for a new one just to get a bit of money back anyways.
If I where to shop at futureshop anymore I would not bother with PSP plan. I’ve sent my HP back twice already but it was a recall by the company. If you want to pay for an expensive box and some tape for shipping then go ahead give them $300. Most products offer and extended warranty themselves for cheaper, which is what you don’t see until you get home and open your new gadget. Either way FUTURESHOP SUCKS and highly advise you to do some research before shopping there and price match somewhere else, don’t give these theives any more money, they definitly don’t deserve it.

wow…you are making up facts left right and center my friend… xbox 360 warranty does not cost even close to 200 dollars…the arcade console is only 199.99. and i hope you know that like 80% of xbox’s break needing service…kinda nice if you dont have to pay for it.

and why in the world would you think you could return it? the policy clearly states that there is a 14 day return policy on computers and that it must be in original condition and packaging… you are complaining about your own ignorance basically.

Something to say?
