If futureshop was such a great company they would have a site called futureshop is the best or something like that.  Take it from me an ex employeee of futureshop corp. the salespeople regularly misrepresent the product service plan.  I was brainwashed into believing it worked for customers and for a time I got good at it and was one of the top sales guys in our dept. but I’m also a very honest guy and after a while ripping off our customers really got to me.  I would routinely get pulled into the office when I sold units “dry” as they call it with no warranty and no setup/inhome.  Keep in mind extended warranty plans are between 68% and 80% pure profit for these companies!!!!  If I was advising my best friend or my relative I would abide bt 3 basic rules:  Rule #1 – Don’t buy at futureshop.  Rule #2 – DON’T BUY AT FUTURESHOP  Rule#3 – See rule # 1 and 2.

actually they do…. futureshopcares.ca i beleive it is… it is a public survey and place where people voice comments (unfiltered) the public cant view them without going to a store, but the stores print and review all comments (good and bad) and the reality is that most are good…

it is a common fact that people voice their opinion more often when they are upset than when they are happy. thats why sites like this exist is because people love to bitch moan and complain about their problems… a site praising all the good things future shop does and what they do right would just be weird.

extended warranties definitely offer a profit, but who cares… there is more mark up on a monster cable or on dynex printer cables than there is on warranty….

sales associates practically get a hard on selling a printer hoping theyll sell the cable with it… warrantys also have less mark up than connect pro services and such.

you cant just throw out a number randomly such as 68%-80% for one your admitting you dont know because your covering a range and two your just plain wrong.

Good try though! maybe someday youll have a legitimate arguement.

oh and by the way… do you seriously think they dont make money off of all the other things they sell? theyre not in business as a charity, and the amount of money they make is one thing that makes it easier to buy with confidence because we know future shop will be around if my computer breaks 2 years down the road… staples, who knows…everyone there is uselesss drones making 8 bucks an hour to pick their nose.

Its not just a random number dipshit. it depends on the product sold the warranty attached etc. I was told this from management and other people who been in future shops employ for many, many years! It’s pretty apparent you have no clue whats going on… Anyhow Future used to be a good place to shop but since they were accuired by best buy they’ve been ultra aggressive with their warranty and attach. Sorry you are wrong.

well i would rather buy the warranty and get it fixed or get a gift card for it, then have to buy it all over again. I buy warranty on EVERYTHING its well worth it.
