ok, so I went to future shop the otherday and got a great deal on the LG 42LH55 lcd tv for only $1200, now the sales person offered me the future shop extended warranty for 4 years for $250, and having herd of bad pixels and stuff I bought it. but after reading this site and a few other peoples suggestions, i dont feel much secure about the extended warranty. should I return that as I have yet to pick up the tv, andthe sales person said i could return that if I decided to.

I bought a 50 inch Sony a couple of years ago and decided to get the extended warranty, man am I glad I did.

I had some problems with the TV and called the warranty centre, a couple of days later a Tech came out and tested the TV and said that they would submit the estimate to Future Shop.

Within about 5 or 7 days I was called and told to go to the store and pick out a new TV as it was not worth fixing the old one.

I figured Oh boy here we go, pressure to buy more than I wanted, much to my surprise I walked in and was informed that not only do I get a new TV but that because Sony does not make that model of Rear Screen Projection I would have to settle for a 52 inch LCD.

Hello, bigger TV and better than I had before (no $340 projection lamp to replace) free delivery, and removal of the old TV.

The only thing that I had buy was another warranty for this TV, did I buy it, you bet I did, best insurance I have ever had.

Service plan are insurance, just like car insurance and home insurance, maybe you’ll need it, maybe not… but if you do use your tv with causion and dont use it excessively, service plan is really cool, get you a new tv after the 3 major repair, and some case they change the tv cause the repair cost more than a new one… Ask the seller for the psp imformation, and read all fine print… my 2 cent, they are great

Something to say?
