Well I just decided to call and see where my iPod is because it’s been FOREVER!
And I call to hear:
“Hi, sorry turns out they discovered your iPod had physical damage which is not covered under your Product Service PLan”

WHAT THE HELL!
And guess what KIND Of damage it was? I put a headphone into the headphone jack and APPARENTLY the metal prong was bent back.
HOW THE HELL Is this MY FAULT? That’s what its designed for, so if was to bend THATS NOT MY FAULT. I was just putting my HEADPHONE JACK IN!

What should I DO? I’m so UPSET right now =(

FUTURE SHOP IS TERRIBLE!

I  just ended the conversation by saying “So there’s nothing you can do?”
and the girl saying “Yes…well unfortunately no. Your iPod is being sent back we will call you when it’s available for pick up.”

never go to Northland Future Shop in Calgary!
NEVER GO TO ANY FUTURE SHOP!

the product expert should have explained to you that it only covers power surge not physical/water damage but it is also your responsibility to ask the questions you arent clear on, the PE’s already know physical damage isnt covered so they might have slipped up and didnt tell you assuming you already knew

sounds like this
Mobile Audio is just a
spy working for Future Shop and properly paid to defend Future Shop and criticize anyone post something here expressing their frustration for Future Shop.

Every member here must be aware!!

You do realize futureshop doesn’t do the repairs on ipods? They HAVE to send them to Apple. If you didn’t have the PRP, you would have to send it to apple yourself at a 50 dollar charge, only to be told the exact same thing. I’m guessing you paid like 15 bucks for your PRP, so you’re still better off.

Question, was the earphone jack faulty when you bought it? If not then you DID physically damage it. Why would any salesman have to tell any consumer with average inteligents that physical damage isn’t covered? Duhh

Something to say?
