I double checked.
American Bankers aka Assurant Solutions underwrites the warranty for Future Shop, the Bay, Walmart, Zellers. For the Source, this company only insures the LCDs

Assurant has a call center in Kingston Ontario where all of the calls are processed. The offer and the protection they offer is the same for all of their customers; they use the same dealer network. The offer is for protection on product failure NOT equipment abuse. Read the terms and conditions in the warranty document.

The companies URL is:
www.assurant.com.br/canada/kingston.html

The difference is the desk person who takes the claim.

I agree, they are not the same, coverages are very different when you compare. They are not under-written by the same bankers, if The Source were to go under, so would your warranty

Its actually not the same... Try asking Wal-Mart to replace your machine with a new one when you come in for a 4th major repair on it. They will ask you, why should we do that for you when we can just fix it again.
