I have worked at future shop only to be screwed over and pushed out do to stupid favoritism that seems too rampant in that store…but I digress hahaha.

One post did catch my eye though when I read that not all employees there are a**holes. Some actually do care. If you go to any store and you do find the rare useful person in a sea of morons, you should post it up so if other people go in they will know who to see to actually get help.

oh, and FYI I still haven’t seen this posted yet, but both cashiers and entertainment associates aren’t commission based off the main item itself so they are usually the most helpful seeing as they don’t give a damn what you buy.

Me being from sudbury I can say there aren’t a lot of helpful people in that damn store (wording it nicely). BUT if you are looking for someone here’s who you should see, with a breakdown of department and commission based or not.

How long ago did you work at the store? I’m also an ex Sudbury PE.

Its been a while, like at the same time as the seasonals got laid off. Not sure how I got lumped in with them hahaha.

I’ve been getting questions about the name. I dont know what it means or where its from, a friend of mine from the store used that name all the time and i kind of liked it so when I had to make a username i “borrowed” it :)

The manager that runs the place is a power hungry idiot who lies to his staff, and lies even more to customers, and lies even MORE to his bosses. I think I remember at least two or three of his underlings (a department manager and the operations manager) both were unfairly let go (If i remember correctly, we were told they “resigned”) just weeks before christmas so he could push his agenda. I’m shocked that head office hasn’t caught on. I love how when people “resign” it was more like forced. “Quit or here is what will happen to you”

I remember being told to ring in ’sales’ on a VIP day for product we didn’t have instead of layaways so he could pad the numbers and ‘look good’ for his bosses. I hope it all comes crashing down on that place soon and the powers above him in head office wake up.

i dont know, personaly i kind of liked mike. Lol, he does seem like one of those people you dont want to be on his bad side but from my brushes with mike he seemed like a decent person. Not saying though that there werent things i didnt agree with though, but im not gonna get into that list hahaha.

What do you think of the new ops manager? he does know alot only problem i have was with me and a couple people i knew who had problems in the store ive never seen or felt such a blind eye or cold shoulder from him. So many arguments and asks for help just to have nothing resolved and feeling like we are worthless or not wanted. But boy can he sell :P
